It's been a while since this kind of Winter weather has hit this the
part of South Carolina. The outside temp was already 32°F when I got
home and the low tonight is expected to be 27°F. That means it will
likely be freezing rain/sleet with some snow. If predictions hold true,
tomorrow morning the streets will be covered in ice. They have changed
the predictions from 1-3 inches to 3-5 inches of snow overnight.
They'll close the bridges to anything but emergency (ambulance, fire
trucks and police) vehicles.

it's predicted to be 7°F (-13.88°C). Windchill is expected
to be -5°F (-20.55°C). BRRRRRRRR
I had to stop at the hardware store after work to get a garage door
remote battery. It was already starting to spit rain. There was a sign
on the door saying they'd be closing at 5PM rather than the usual 9PM
and closed tomorrow. I saw people in there getting grill propane tanks
refilled. (I already have bags of lump charcoal for the grill if
needed). Some people were picking up bundles of firewood and Duraflame
type fire logs. I'm sure at other stores people were last minute
stocking up on toilet paper, etc.

Upon arriving home I set the outside faucets to run enough to hopefully
keep the water flowing through the pipes. If we get this Winter storm,
it will be interesting. It's a rare occurrence.
OB Food: I'll have some leftover corned beef & cabbage for dinner
tonight.

and the panhandle of Florida. We've got a cold front with
wind keeping that snow well south of Tennessee or we'd be
in the same snowy deepfreeze. As cold as it's been all week
I'm not planning on getting out of the house until Friday
for weekly grocery shopping.
