It's been too nice a day to be in need of comfort food but my wife took
some ground lamb out of the freezer with the hope that I would make
Shepherds Pie. It's in the oven now and it smells great.

I don't know if I'll eat any supper or not. If I do, it
will something quick and light. That flu shot has done
me. I've slept 15 hours since last night and feel like
a zombie.

It's never too nice for "comfort food". Shepherd's Pie sounds good!

I'm having a nostalgic bowl of Lipton Noodle Soup with some saltine
crackers. I'm not very hungry tonight so this will hit the spot.

Everybody has their own nostalgia. It's not about whether it
tastes good or has quality ingredients. It's about what it reminds
them of.

It reminds me of when I was six years old (we lived in NJ then) and had
just come inside after playing outside in the snow. Lipton Noodle Soup
and saltines.

I wouldn't bother making/ eating anything that's only
going to remind me it tastes terrible.

Spam, for example, or tripe.

I have not had Spam in years but I never thought it was horrible. I am
torn about tripe because I had a friend whose mother used to cook it
every Tuesday and it took until Friday for the smell to leave the house.
My first experience with it was in Menudo in a Mexican restaurant in
Colorado. I didn't realize at first that it was made with tripe. It was
delicious.

Indeed, it is one of your Majesty's signature dishes, along with the
famous butternut squash soup.

Your Highness should post the recipe each time you prepare these delicacies.

it was an ingredient in Campbells Pepper Pot soup. that is
probably the first time i tasted it. that would have been a
long time ago. not had it since then. pepper isn't a big
thing on my menu or diet - pretty much anyplace people use
pepper these days i substitute chili peppers or hot sauces
instead. you'd think my digestive system would be ok with
pepper if it can tolerate chilis but the difference is there
and sadly annoying as i do like pepper on some things.

i've had had Menudo in more recent years and was ok with
that.

It's been too nice a day to be in need of comfort food but my wife
took some ground lamb out of the freezer with the hope that I would
make Shepherds Pie. It's in the oven now and it smells great.
It's never too nice for "comfort food".  Shepherd's Pie sounds good!
It turned out really nicely.
I'm having a nostalgic bowl of Lipton Noodle Soup with some saltine
crackers.  I'm not very hungry tonight so this will hit the spot.
I used to like that stuff. Sadly, I can't tell you the last time I had
it. It has been decades. I should remedy that.
Aren't we all hankering for a good ol' bowl of Lipton Noodle Soup?
I believe you're hankering for a good long whiff of Officer Dave's ass.
