Yes, sometimes I'm lazy and want a quick and easy meal. Couple of weeks
ago these caught my eye as they were BOGO at Publix.

https://www.justbarefoods.com/product/lightly-breaded-chicken-breast-strips/

I'm on the second bag of them. Two pieces is enough for me so the cost
is not bad for a dinner.

What I've been doing is either using the very small potatoes, or, cut up
a larger sweet potato or Yukon Gold. Spray with oil. put them in the
air fryer for 22 minutes at 400 degrees.

When the timer gets down to 12 minutes, I put in the two pieces of
chicken. At about 6 minutes flip them over. Make a veggie or salad for
a pretty good dinner with minimal effort.

So, they're pretty tasty, huh?? I'm a bit leery of them, but
I may have to try these based on your recommendation.

I've bought some 'grilled' chicken nuggets at Kroger in the
freezer section, they have no breading so they're pretty good
on a salad. Prepared as directed, decent, but I've learned
if I add Montreal chicken seasoning while cooking them they
are MUCH tastier.

I often use the Montreal chicken seasoning too, Good stuff.

I was hesitant on buying these but happy with the result. I also like
the Chick Fil A sauce and dip them in that.

The ingredient list looks clean. I might try them too for us.

I'll have to look for that seasoning! Here's a copycat from the web.

-------------
To Make 2 Teaspoons of Montreal Chicken Seasoning, Combine:

• 2 and 1/4 tsp. dehydrated onion
• 1/2 Tbsp. dehydrated garlic
• 1/2 tsp. black pepper
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• Pinch each of coriander, rosemary, thyme, and paprika
• 1/4 of orange, zested
-------------

Looks like the Orange is optional as other versions don't use it.

It's really quite good! I do make my own taco seasoning as well
as bbq rub. When I make those I do make 'family size' portions
and then sealed in airtight large container.

The orange sounds strange, but what do I know? I will say
the commercial Montreal seasoning I buy the spices used in
the mix are 'chunky' size, none are small in size.

That seems right. I'll just leave out the orange.

Not a bad product from the looks. Bit higher in sodium than might be
wise for Don but not terrible if he adjusts the rest of the day around
it.

Sounds good! You could cut up the crispy chicken and put it on the
salad as a side option.

Don seems to be as fragile and as sick as officer dave. But you never
know about sickly dying people. Especially military. Some of us suffered
lethal injuries, even brain damage, and we still survived.

I'm sure Don is really a very sick man. Possibly shrapnel from from an IED?

Good you're still taking care of him. You're a soldier. Thank you for
your service. Hang in there!
