In reference to the acrylic combination salt and pepper mill device,
follow these steps:

1) unscrew and remove the top nut and the attached metal holey disk
2) remove the cylindrical plastic part at the top of the shaft
3) empty salt from top section
4) pull the top salt section straight up off the shaft, it does not unscrew and there is no release mechanism. It may require maximum effort if the shaft has been corroded by salt.
5) refill the pepper mill section with peppercorns; Olde Thompson
recommends 3/4 full
6) replace top salt section
7) reinstall cylindrical plastic part on top of shaft and refill salt
3/4 full
8) screw on top nut, making sure salt is clear of disk seating ring so
holey disk seals.

I think they wanted a youtube video,
not text instructions. :-)

<the obvious, snipped>

Who in this group would require instructions for refilling a spice mill?

Maybe it was an Email to his daughter?

:-)

There *was* some discussion about refilling nonrefillable McCormick
pepper grinders.
