I've been reading some yummy baking efforts here in the
last few minutes. Will y'all be cooking something tasty
since you've got your ovens fired up? What is everyone
else having this evening?

I was going to post it will be leftover country fried
steak and the rest of the mac & cheese broccoli mix
here. But just a few minutes ago my neighbor brought
me a two-piece Popeye's fried chicken dinner and one
of the side dishes is mac & cheese!!

I would eat the leftovers and throw that popeye stuff in the garbage.

It was ok, just ok. I did save the biscuit and will probably
have it for breakfast. A few seconds in the microwave and
slathered in butter and it should be decent. Scrambled eggs
sound good, too.

Salad. Lunch was a very nice pastrami sandwich.

Sounds good. I'm just reheating some lefover lasagna.

Chistmas isn't a big deal for me since I'm not religious.

We're atheists and my husband loves Christmas. We decorate a
tree, exchange gifts, and have a traditional meal. Well, traditional
for us. Breakfast casserole.

The cheesecake we baked yesterday was his birthday cake.

You're hypocrites and your hubby loves Saturnalia - how Roman of you!

Oooh! It's a long time since I've had a good, real, pastrami sandwich on
real rye. I think the last time was in NYC in the late 90s, from a deli
near St Luke's hospital.

I suspect our sandwiches weren't "real". We bought the pastrami
at the deli and real rye at the bakery. But we assembled the
sandwiches ourselves with much less meat than any New York deli
would do.
