I'd probably use miniature marshmallows and broil the mess. That would
be just grand.

Dinner tonight was some abalone. You dig it out of the shell and rip the
guts out and the beak (?). I pounded the creature with the back of a
cleaver until it was softened up. Then it was breaded and fried. The
abalone was kind of small critters but that was a good thing - they
didn't taste like much of anything.

Abalone has become quite expensive here. It probably all goes to Japan
at crazy prices. In the late 90s, when I'd sometimes see it in Chinese
restaurants, I wasn't interested yet and now I don't see it much
anymore. But if it doesn't taste like much...

I've had big ones fresh in Cali, but that was years ago.

I recall a taste not unlike a good buttery mussel.

That one looks to me like an oyster.

They're even tastier if you leave the "man in the boat" alone...

Thinking back to the Fifties, when I was a lad and everybody smoked,
abalone shells made great ashtrays. I have a robust abalone shell
somewhere around the house.

They are such pretty things. They would make great ashtrays. The holes
in the shells would make a groovy pattern on your table or bed-sheets.

I like how that dog is diagonal on the bread so it would fit. That's
thinking outside the box!

Da Hawaiians don't get much into fluff. It's not natural. We do love
marshmallows though. I've put it on pizza. Oh yeah.

This is going to be a big disappointment to you, but I've
eaten nor even tasted a sandwich made with that stuff.
I'm not about to click on a link Hiram has posted to see what the heck

It's a bunch of cut open sandwiches slathered in peanut
butter and fluffer nutter. It's from the "Southern

among the Greeks, and she was among the most powerful women of the

Marshmallow fluff and the fluffernutter sandwich are a northeastern
thing. I had it a few times when I was a kid, but spreading sugar
on peanut butter just doesn't appeal anymore.

Of course, it took Pennsylvania to send the use of marshmallow fluff
to its final heights:
