Post by ItsJoanNotJoAnnPublix has a selection of items every week for BOGO. I grab one or two
it is is something I use. Today was a JACKPOT. Everything I bought was
either on sale or BOGO.
I spent $58 for $107 regular price items.
Good timing, I was dangerously low on Haagen Dazs ice cream.
My main gripe with Publix other than they are higher
priced than all the other stores is their inability
to give the price of an item on their website. If
I want to know what the price of any item is I have
to call the store, then some shmuck has to trot back
to the dairy case and then trot back to the phone
to tell me price.
Would be handy at times but not a deal breaker.
They are not the cheapest, but still my store of choice. Usually one a
week I'm there.
Never met an employee that was not pleasant and helpful
It is one mile from me. If I need just a couple things, next closest is
7 miles, 9 miles.
Never have a long wait at checkout
Every couple of months I go to BJs. There are a few items that are
cheaper by far. Cleaning supplies, Kerrygold butter and cheese,
sausage, chicken, eggs, wine. Did I mention wine?
Occasional trips to Mazzarros Italian market. I always get a couple of
chicken parm, salami, cannoli, Merlot jelly. Never spend less than $100.
Detweiler's every few weeks. Cashew butter, local produce, cherry
turnover.
Every store has something I really like that the other stores do not
have. Price is always a factor as you can see by taking advantage of
the BOGOs, but if I really enjoy something, I'm willing to pay for the
enjoyment.
