i am smoking a turkey on the weber gas grill using pellet tubes
for the smoke on thanksgiving. tomorrow morning i'm using the
kettle grill to smoke the meat i'm using in the pot of chili i am
making on sunday. while it's hot maybe i'll make a couple
smashburgers for brunch.
all seasons are grilling season. :)
Sounds good, I use those smoke tubes sometimes
when I use my little Asmoke pellet smoker,
depending on what I'm cooking.
Ever cold smoke cheese?
Christmas Eve day was perfect for cold smoking. no, i'm not at
all interested in building a cold smoking contraption to do it
in warm weather. it was upper 20s / low 30s with no wind, not
even a breeze on the 24th. was a nice day to be outside other
than the bit of drizzle. too cold and the cheese freezes which
ruins the texture. too warm is a food safety issue. i took
photos, enjoy. or drool. :)

is about 5 hours worth of pellets there, a blend of cherry,
maple, and hickory.

Nice job there. Do you think you smoked enough cheese
for the rest of the winter?? I'd hate for you to run
out and do this again too soon. 😆

Those are HUGE omelets!!

thanks. nah, it isn't all for us, lol. we gave half of it
away to our kids. will do more in the spring and will have
enough to last to fall. did it late this year, am a month and a
half behind.

yes, works great in omelets, on salad, grilled cheese
sandwiches, with crackers and tubemeat, makes an awesome
mac-n-cheese, tacos and burritos, i even like to grate some on
pizza before cooking.

Nice job, and of taking advantage of the weather for it, looks like
you're well stocked now.
