Yep, he pretty much nailed it.
Yep, it's funny! "Black Friday" (the day after US Thanksgiving) was
originally a concept founded by merchants to be able to make up for lack
of sales throughout the year, to get in the black ink (profitable) by
selling a whole bunch of stuff on sale. These days they stretch the
concept to "Black Monday" but they're still selling the same crap. It's
all about money and merchandising.
