I saw the announcement this morning and was surprised
to learn she had MS. Also, I was unaware she had
performed in so many movies and TV shows.

She was in a lot of good movies, or maybe they were good because she was
in them. One that I have fond memories of is After Hours.

That is what I always tell people. Do NOT use Microsoft products. They are
bad for your health! =(

RIP, Teri Garr. She was fantastic in the film "Young Frankenstein" with
Gene Wilder, Madelein Kahn, Peter Boyle, Marty Feldman and Chloris Leachman.

She was in a lot of movies. 'Tootsie' with Dustin Hoffman and Jessica
Lange and Bill Murray.

She was in 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind" with Richard Dreyfuss,
directed by Steven Spielburg. IIRC she was even in an episode from the
original 1960's 'Star Trek' TV show as the assistant to someone called
"Gary Seven" where somehow the guys from The Enterprise wound up back
in "time in the 1960's and Mr. Seven had a cat and Teri Garr didn't have
any idea what was going on when the guys from the Enterprise
materialized (beamed into) the office.

I remember her well. Then one day, "Poof!", she was gone from the screen.
I had no idea that she had MS.
There are a lot of actors and actresses, "acto/rx?", who disappear for
one reason or another and come back to consciousness years later.
Richard Widmark did that for me. He was interviewed after I though he'd
been dead for twenty years. That was a while ago.

Same for me with Art Carney (died 2002)...
