For those that just can't wait a moment longer I'm
here to tell you my butter stock is back up to 19 pounds
in the freezer. Actually 16 pounds in the stand alone
freezer and 3 pounds in the kitchen refrigerator freezer.

Everyone can heave a sigh of relief to know that I took
advantage of the 5-pound limit. That's what their ad
said, but no posted limit within the store. I'm going
to take a guess it will still be on sale next week,
the week of Thanksgiving in the USA.

Next big sale will probably be around Christmas.

I just had a bit of butter with strawberry jam (French, no sugar
added, parbleu) on bread. I don't think we have any butter left now.
But we do have a big new olive oil.

That's about what I have, unsalted, for baking. I'm on the
lookout for some fancy, imported butter but heavy snow has
me storm-stayed.
I make a sablé (cookie) to a Dorie Greenspan recipe that
friends rave about. They are so much better if the butter
has a stronger flavour. I do use cultured butter but all the
talk here of Kerrygold has me wondering if an expensive
import might be better.
