Post by l not -lPost by CheriPost by l not -lWorst case, I'll continue to eat baseball nut on occasion and
make raspberry ripple at home every now and then.
I'm going to be on the lookout for it in some of the lesser known stores I
shop at, not to buy, but just to see if it's available anywhere.

I suspect this is like many food and drink items I recall from
childhood, they were regional favorites, offered by regional
providers. As transportation became better, regional favorites
lost ground to products with a national reach. The dairy products
of my youth, including raspberry ripple ice cream, were Kentucky
Maid, a now defunct brand. I'm sure there were other brands of
raspberry ripple, in other places, I had hoped that some brand had
survived.
I would greatly appreciate a shout-out should you run across it.
Did you ever happen to run across the Millstadt Creamery in
Millstadt, Illinois? It wasn't too far from St. Louis.
Unfortunately it is now defunct, but they had some of the best ice
cream I have ever tasted. When I was growing up my dad and I would
periodically drive there to pick up a half dozen different flavors
(either 3 or 5 gallon size) to store in our chest freezer. It was
like having an ice cream store at home. :-)
